Our Story

I’m Sarah Thorpe, with over 20 years of experience in teaching, nursery nursing and childcare. My complex journey began in foster care at 6 weeks old, instilling in me a profound empathy for others. Education became my path to freedom, I became the teacher I needed when I was a child.

Connecting my background with my studies and work experiences, the importance of love and attachment in childhood became my focus and deep rooted passion. I was destined to create Cherish Childhood, focussing on supporting families from the start of their journey. In our complicated and fast paced world, nurturing relationships is vital for our health and wellbeing.

Who We Are

We are a heart-led service provider for families within the community and for children and staff in primary schools. Fully qualified and experienced UK primary school teacher, bringing my knowledge, skills, and passions together, to reach children and families in a unique way.
